Feb. 22nd, 2019 07:45 pm Shuo'li is part of a multi-WoL timeline in which there is an echo-imbued adventurer for each class. They take on the lore of their respective role, as well as the path that leads them to a job-stone. That means Shuo'li is familiar with Ywain of the Lancer's Guild in Gridania, dueled and defeated Foulques and went on to become a Dragoon through his meetings with Alberic and Estinien. He has never met Jenlyns from Ul'dah or Jacke from Limsa.
He is not the primary WoL, meaning he is not the one involved with the MSQ storyline. While he participates as one of the WoL's "conveniently on-hand friends" in trials and dungeons, his name is neither as well known or as lauded. NPCs with authority/power may know of him. Regular civilians are not expected to. *Exceptions to this are, of course, those with ties to the lnc/drg questline. (Ywain, Foulques, Alberic, Estinien, Heustienne, etc.)

Originally intended to be part of the attack team, an unexpected incident and a missing teammate shuffles the teams and Shuo'li instead ends up on the decoy team. While afield, the group encounters misfortune in the shape of a monstrous wyvern who takes their group by surprise and severely maims their healer. Desperate to draw its attention, Shuo'li makes use of his Dragoon arts and attempts to subdue the beast before it can claim anymore blood and is ultimately slain in combat. For this reason, he is unaware of any of the events following A Knight's Calling.
